We compete approximately one weekend per month from December thru May. Usually trampoline and double mini trampoline competition is on Saturday and tumbling competition is on Sunday. Each competition, you choose to compete zero, one, two or three events. The competitions are 1 - 2 hours away. The coaches will decide whether we compete at Nationals. USTA Nationals are in June and AAU Junior Olympics are in July.
The competitions are low stress and everyone wins an award (medal or trophy). I encourage the parents and gymnasts to have fun, try their best and to improve on their score. We have no control on who enters the competition thus the child's placing doesn't really show if your child is improving.
