I was born on May 7, 1963. I started gymnastics at C.R.A.G. when I was 10 years old. After 3 years, I began teaching gymnastics. I competed all the way through my freshman year of collage. My favorite event was the uneven bars. I was in charge of the University of Iowa's Children's gymnastics program from 1990-1994. My favorite part of teaching is seeing and hearing the self-confidence grow in your children and also the bond that develops between us. I have three athletic and terrific boys; Darrius was born in 1985, PJ in 1995 and Tavian in 1998. Cartwheels Gymnastics and Trampoline Club has been at it's current location since 2004.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Social work from the University of Iowa. I was high school all-American in gymnastics and competed in college for three time olympic coach Abie Grossfeld. I qualified for two NCAA Colligiate National Competition on the high bar. I have coached gymnastics for over 20 years. My favorite age to teach are the 18 month olds, but my love for teaching children of all ages has kept me in the sport all these years!
